Amman

Nowhere in the world are jobs and responsive development more crucial for stability than in the greater Middle East. Building on DAI’s 20-year history in the country, DAI opened its Jordan office in February 2009 to address this demand, and the office quickly evolved into a regional leader in development collaboration.

DAI has undertaken more than 20 short and long-term projects in Jordan, and many more in the immediate region. Our portfolio ranges from cutting-edge work in the water sector to agricultural policy analysis; trade, investment, and enterprise support; economic reform; and microfinance.

Our current initiatives in the region, to name a few, include the:

  • Fiscal Reform II Project in Jordan to help the Jordanian government rationalize its finances;
  • Lebanon Water and Wastewater Sector Support Program to increase water availability; and
  • Facility for New Market Development in the West Bank and Gaza to support small businesses.

Amman Managing Director Jamal Al-Jabiri works closely with DAI’s offices in Ramallah, London, and Washington, D.C., to synthesize our local knowledge and global expertise. His office cultivates relationships with national governments, donors, and the private sector to strengthen our contribution to the region’s socioeconomic landscape.

As part of the larger DAI team, the Amman office brings to bear the global firm’s talent, resources, and project management and support systems, ensuring our clients’ development objectives are met successfully and accountably.
