ECIAfrica Now Doing Business as DAI
Johannesburg, South Africa—Effective November 14, 2012, ECIAfrica Consulting (Pty) Ltd will do business under the name of its majority owner, DAI. The name change reflects tighter integration between Johannesburg and DAI’s corporate offices worldwide. “ECIAfrica has been an integral part of the DAI network since 1994 and a crucial part of its mission to shape a more livable world, particularly in our own region of Southern Africa,” said Johannesburg-based Managing Director Claudia Manning.
Opened in 1994, DAI’s Johannesburg office is a platform for catalyzing economic and social development in Southern Africa. A unique South African economic development consultancy providing technical expertise, world-class project management, and services that employ the latest in international best practice, the Johannesburg office is informed by a deep understanding of the political, social, and economic dynamics that affect people’s lives in the countries where we work.
DAI knows that sustainable economic development often requires the public and private sectors to work together and across areas of expertise. Reflecting this approach, our staff collaborate extensively across disciplines, taking a holistic approach to research, project design and assessment, policy development and market analysis, institutional capacity building, and product development. This approach allows us to develop tailored solutions that deliver lasting results for our clients and beneficiaries.
The Johannesburg office draws on the full range of DAI’s global resources; taps experts from academia, industry, government, and various professional disciplines; and fields a rich network of industry and sector-specific leaders committed to improving lives in Southern Africa. Our commitment to development and excellent record of delivering on that commitment through customized and cost-effective solutions has put us at the forefront of economic development consulting in South Africa and the wider region.
