Agribusiness expert David Anderson formerly led the Agribusiness Market and Support Activity (AMARTA) in Jakarta, Indonesia, a three-year, $15 million program funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. Mr. Anderson, formerly a senior executive with Del Monte, Chiquita, and other leading agribusinesses, has overseen agricultural projects and enterprises in both the public and private sectors. He began his career in 1971 as an advisor for the Peace Corps in Iran, and has since led agricultural planning, production, research, and marketing efforts in 11 countries. A graduate of Oregon State University, he speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and Farsi.
